I'd venture to say yes, although I have no real knowledge. The problem is that the lockout doesn't occur, technically, I believe, until September 15. Long before then, I'd imagine, a new AHL coach would likely be in place and what would happen to him? Further, Mcgill would've been planning all Summer for the NHL team, attending camp with the Rangers, and running practices for the Rangers, seemingly out of the early 'Pack loop. I'm not sure how it would work in the end.
