Agree 100%.

Allen and the Sedins are not assets. they are important pieces to the team that can't be moved. Vancouver's assets include defensive specialists (e.g. Chubarov, Kesler), positional defensemen (e.g. Sopel, Malik), and picks and prospects. these are the only pieces the team can afford to move... and these are not likely to be appealing to the NYI's.

That's interesting (about Allen). I didn't see him as a core player on Vancouver, but you are not the first Canuck fan to suggest otherwise, so I'll take your word for it. The Sedins, on the otherhand, are clearly very important parts of the Canucks present and future, and I'd see little reason why they'd be moved. When defined as you suggest, it is true, the Canucks more expendable pieces do not fit NYI's current needs.
