Thanks for announcing my pick pappy.
Noble gives us a gritty, defensively responsible, goal scoring threat to play with Boucher and Makarov. He doesn't bring the same all around game as Dumart, but he was a stronger offensive player. From 1917-1922 he was fourth in the NHL in goals behind Lalonde, Malone, and Denneny. His numbers after being traded to the Maroons don't look particularly impressive, but that's because he actually moved back to play defense for the second half of his career.
Noble had some problems with off-ice issues but was also known as a great leader. On a team with good leaders, the off-ice stuff should be less of an issue. This allows us to play Dumart with Clarke and Maltsev as a line that can play against any line effectively at either end of the ice.
