Yes, and one of these 5 (I'm adding Jason Ward to the list, I think he can be more offensive in his second season if given the chance) will get a spot on the second line and be a top 6 forward next year, we just cannot accept Dagenais in that spot again. It will be a battle in camp.

I would give the edge to Perezhogin if the suspension had not happened as he is the most talented of the bunch, but in all reality i don't see Gainey having him on the team; at least not to start the year, too much bad press. I would like to see him play in the new WHA if that gets off the ground, or in a highly competitive European League.

With Perez out of the running i see them trying Ward there, he has the size that the line needs.
