I like what Streit has brought to this team and he is definitely a big part of our power play, but if Souray was replaceable, I highly doubt Streit is irreplaceable. I've actually been defending Streit all year long, but when it comes to resigning him I agree with the majority 2 million for 2 years, no more really.
I think Streit will play a role at some point in the playoffs, but I just don't see him being an asset against teams like Boston or Philly. He would probably be more valuable on the PP against the Flyers, but at ES I can't see him being up for it physically.

I have only one solution for this team in the free agent market. Brian Rolston has the size and skill combo that this team needs. He's got a heavy shot and I think would be the perfect fit to replace Streit on the PP and Ryder as a top line RW. I think Ryder could be a decent bottom 6 guy if he takes a sizeable pay cut.
