Now your comparing Hammer to Streit? There is no comparison to be made except that they both can play D. Hammer is like a combination of Rivet and Souray and is way more of a complete player than Streit. Hammer is signed for the next 3 years, we don't need to think about replacing him for a while, which is a good thing...
You need to read more carefully.
I did not compare Streit to Hamrlik. What I said is that there is no reason to believe that we can replace Streit as our PP quarterback - just as there is no reason to believe that we can replace Hamrlik.
My point is that I see no reason at all to believe that we have anyone who can step up as the PP quarterback if Streit leaves.
