Montoya was excellent in nets for the US.

Lepisto was tremendous, but he'd be a reach in the first round in my opinion.

That's about it, other than draft eligibles like Olesz and Ovechkin who will be long gone.

Two things, though:

It's a little silly to think that Montreal puts a whole lot of stock in a short international tournament that has young players playing in different environments and styles than they're accustomed to (whether it be rink size or role on their team).

Higgins and Kastitsyn were late risers in the draft rankings. I think that's the coincidence you're seeing more than WJC performance. But I could be wrong.

Secondly, this past WJC didn't feature many draft eligible players. Not nearly as many as past years.
