I love Gretzky but I still think that he and company made some serious mistakes this time around. If Canada doesn't win, it's for the same reason in 98: not enough fire power. Yzerman (not what he used to be), Maltby (checking), Draper (checking), Morrow (grinder), Gagne (checking) shouldn't have been put on the team.

Omitting the likes of Kariya, Bertuzzi, Tanguay, Lecavalier, and Nash will hurt on the scoreboard. I don't think that we have enough of clutch goal scorers aboard.

Also, Primeau (who is arguably the top checking line centre in the world at this point) should have been included on the team.

I know that whatever team had been named, there would still have been doubters. But I find it clear that there are far too many role players and not enough of high profile guys.
