It was Hospodar who took exception to Lemieux and Corson scoring in the Flyers net at the end of the pre-game skate around. I hated Hospodar. Clark Gilles re-arranged his face when he was a Ranger, broken jaw, orbital bone the whole nine yards. Served Hospodar right, who was a spot-picker. the upper-cut that did the damage is at 0:04. Hockey was crazy in the 80's.
I liked Brown, I just think it's bush league to go looking for a scrap a la Rob Ray. Wait until the playing field is leveled during the game, it's not like Kordic or Nilan wouldn't have obliged Brown then.
