This is how i see it: I hope the rangers don't draft #6 again, I really do, in fact I hope this never happens, but as it stands, you only get a pick this low very rarely, unless of course your rebuilding. At the #6 you can't be taking a guy who MIGHT be a 2nd liner, you have to take the best player with the highest ceiling. You may luck out, you may not, but at #6, you have to go for the gamble. I would be upset if the rangers went for the safe bet 3rd liner opposed to taking the risk on the guy who could bring glory and riches. Is it worth it to waste a #6 on a 3rd line? i dunno, but it's also not worth it to waste a #6 on a guy who will bust. But in the end, the lottery is a gamble, and you can't win the big prize if you don't play the big prize.
