I like Ryder and wish him well, and if injuries allow him to get back in the lineup I hope he can find a way to play a simple and effective game.

But to those who say he deserves to be playing (or should be played instead of Streit! ) I have to ask based on what? How many games did he play this year that he wasn't one of the two or three worst Habs players on the ice? Ten? That's probably generous.

Ryder has an unbelievable release, is a good person and a fairly hard worker but let's face it, the guy is a turnover machine who most of this year couldn't remember that he needs to dish the puck, not play keepaway until he loses it. The only reason Ryder is Ryding the bench is because he played himself there.
