welcome to the garden city - it's strange to see youth moving to the city, as opposed to the mass exodus from the city that typically occurs.

in terms of hockey, there are plenty of opportunities available.

my first suggestion would be to check out the arenas and inquire about any recreation leagues that may take place. i've played in a couple (typical rec league hockey) but, never organized a team of my own (so i'm unsure as to the exact place to go for information). i've included a link to the city of st. catharines arenas website, which is probably a good place to start.

also, check out both brock university:
http://www.brocku.ca/
and niagara college:
http://www.niagaracollege.ca/
they may have leagues throughout the school year (not sure if you can join if not a student but, worth a shot anyways).

finally, check out the city websites of neighbouring cities - such as: niagara falls, fort erie, thorold, stoney creek, grimsby, beamsville, and even hamilton (40 minute drive) - they may also have information on rec. leagues.

here is a link to adult hockey tournaments in niagara falls:
http://www.niagarafalls.ca/city_hall...ournaments.pdf

hope this helps,
if i come across any information, i'll post it.
