Also to note that more than half of the players you listed will re-sign way before july 1st.

But the more we advance with the CBA and the more teams are gonna be cap strapped.

I predict that the cap wont rise next year(like it will this year) and if it does very little.

All those things are to be considered and the gainey policy to not re-sign RFA players for more than 3 years might bite us in the ass.
Imagine if we had Komisarek/Higgins/Plekanec locked for 2 or more years at the same cap number.

I will also say that all the very long term deal (Mike Richard, Dipietro, Ovechkin) are gonna become very good bargin in 4 to 5 years.
