Giving a look is one thing, counting on Carter to be your second line center is ridiculous...
Carter and Pitkanen are different players with different styles of play. This was also Pitkanen's first season in NA. Carter IMO is better equipped for the jump to the NHL than Pitkanen. Carter also now has 12 AHL playoff games under his belt. Gagne and Williams had no problems with the jump. If they can find Carter minutes I see no reason not to give him a shot.
