It's not so much the fact that other players hit... It is the fact that opposing players have to be aware of when Hollweg is going to hit. Hollweg's hits are ten times what any of those other players can hit at. Defensemen are more apt to duck out of a hit from Hollweg as compared to someone like Sjostrom. This creates more chances and also has opposing teams always aware that there is someone on the other team who can hurt them.
