It's also been 10 years since hockey was good, it died almost a decade ago. Not only was 1994 great for us Ranger fans who remember such a magaical season, and the greatest playoffs in the history of sports, but 1994 was truly the last "GREAT" season we've seen. Sure the "dead puck" era didn't start right away, it was gradual, but 1995 shortened season hurt more I guess than people realized. 1994 enjoyed it highest US TV ratings ever, and if I recall correctly 14 100 point scorers. Hockey was awesome back then, not just because my favorite team was at the top, but because hockey was the best sport at that time, the most exciting. I really can't say that about my favorite sport anymore. I'm a diehard, but I can't help but remember and yearn for the days like how I felt to be a hockey fan back in 1994...
