Two second round picks for a first round pick is good value, but only if a team feels there's nobody left on their board that jumps out at them and can take a chance on getting two B players instead of one A player.

I'm just wondering if it's possible. I'd rather have a 1st this year than two seconds next year personally. This would give us 3 first round picks and 5 second round picks this year. That could be a historic draft day for us. We still have our 1st and 2nd next year, so I don't really buy into the "putting all your eggs in one basket" theory.

Who knows if there will even be a draft next year, they might postpone it or randomly select the order or something. I'd like to get as many prospects right now before the lockout because who knows how long until hockey starts up again? If it lasts two years, some of these 8 draftees could be ready to step in and make an impact.

It's fun to think what if sometimes
