The truth is winning the lottery was NOT going to fix the Knicks. They have 3-4 years of rebuilding to do.....purge contracts. You don't throw away assets (pick + contract) when you have so few assets to begin with.

Hasn't anyone learned from the Rangers experience? Patience and good management decisions will bring the Knicks back to respectability.
I agree with what you are saying, but in the NBA sometimes it just takes one player to make a team, look at Lebron in Cleveland. Rose is certainly that type of player, if he panned out the way everyone thinks, he could have definitely turned this team around (as long as the right moves were made around him of course) in no time.

There's still a chance to get a good player at 6, but considering how bad this team was, it has to be a disappointment to finish that low.
