I think you may be over-estimating Florida's hand a little here.

While their certainly has to be talent going the other way, Florida isn't going to get a motherload for a guy who has been good but not great, but has loads of potential.

Heck, not to long ago Pitkanen was traded and didn't bring in the biggest haul in the world.

I think if you offer Sanguinetti, a first, a second, and some other options. You're in the ballpark.

Prucha may be struggling to find a role on our team, but the guy has already scored 20 goals twice before his 26th birthday. He's not without some value. And Sanguinetti is a defenseman who just scored 29 goals and 70 points in the OHL, which isn't as common as it used to be 10 years ago. He's arguably a high-end NHL prospect.

Are they necessarily the components the Panthers want? I can't say. But I don't think any move for Bo would HAVE to include Staal, and I think Florida knows that they wouldn't get very far if they tried.
