Nothing against the player (I haven't seen him, either) but the "Oh, his dad used to play for us!" factor is seldom used by professional scouts to justify a puck. Weak.
For most of us, scouting reports and limited viewings are the currency upon which mock decisions hinge. I don't see how that's any different here with Gustafsson. Anyone really following the draft would know of a player slated to go in the late first or early second round regardless of last name, though admittedly if his last name was different there may be less consensus among Caps fans as to who to take.
