While I do think it could be big, I think you are GREATLY exaggerating. Just because the best players in Russia may not have contracts right now, doesn't mean they're going to bolt over to North America right away.

And adding Emelin and Korneev to any team does not in improve their chances of winning a Stanley Cup this year. Yes it would be nice and those guys could develop into good NHL players, but right now they're just prospects. So 3-4 Russians wouldn't change who the contenders are.
