Interesting selection. This guy is apparently an incredible passer. Here's what Kyle Woodleif had to say about him:

Roman Josi may be the best pure passing D-man in the draft. He makes great outlets and is particularly adept at making the long, lead pass to break the trap up the middle for a breakaway. He's also a smooth skater and very intelligent. One proviso though: he's probably not going to be selected in the first round simply because NHL clubs are leery of taking Swiss players high unless they show a real commitment about wanting to play in the league. Josi's club team in Switzerland has already promised him a spot in their top four next season, so he may not be coming over to North America right away.

If you look at our young defensemen, it bodes well for us having an incredible puck moving backline. Suter has shown flashes back there, as has Koistinen. Hamhuis is above board in that regard. Franson was regarded as one of the best passers in the world coming out of Juniors. Blum is also considerd a top-flight passer and Laakso is a good passer. And Weber is hardly Bob Boughner back there. Oh yeah, there isn't a bad skater in the bunch either.
