He was 17, 18, 19 the last two seasons.

He was and still is very young, and still produced.

Not sure it is fair to be expecting that much.

And if he doesn't score 40 points this year you will think his season was a failure?

The RSL/KHL does NOT work the same way as the NHL. Tremendously gifted offensive players don't rack up the points in the RSL like they might here in the NHL, where they may be given more freedom to use their offensive creativity.

Plus, the RSL/KHL season is only half as long as the NHL season.
