The reaction's messed up, IMO, we should be lucky and surprised. It's not like Luongo played 70 games because Sanford was an incompetent goalie. What, were we expecting two starters?

My concern at the signing is due to AV's reluctance to play Sanford, thus forcing Luongo into playing a crapload of games again.
I thought Sanford did fine for a backup, didn't win us any games, didn't lose us any games we should have won, but played good enough, which is all you can expect from a backup.
