I think you failed to mention the importance of a player like Shanahan, Yelle, keane, maltby, draper and company on thsoe cup winners. Another thing you have to understand in all those years of losing to dallas the stars only went on to win the cup once because the oil kicked the crap out of them so bad that they couldn't get it done. A havlat and a 1st is an overpayment for smyth, so lets make this proposal a more realistic one.
Smyth for havlat.
Simple easy and very fair. The question is would these teams make this deal?
