It is true they have similar games played, but how many of those games that havlat played was he thrown out in a number one line, 1st pp, late game situations like smyth was. Smyth was the player the oilers slated to go head to head with hatcher in everyone of those games and he sat for all 44 of those games in front of the net creating havoc and working the boards. The thing that really gets my goat about sens fans is how dense they are about their team, everyone else see the weakness they have in the grit department and yet year after year they try to bandage the situation instead of trying to get a top 6 gritty scoring winger. While smyth is just one answer i think that the sens will never get anywhere in the playoffs as long as they try to play the finesse game that they do. I just don't understand why having 4 scoring rw actually helps the team. Trade one of those wingers and spread those minutes between the other 3.
