His biggest attribute is his size and positioning, he also has an underated glove hand. Another thing that hasn't been noted and may not matter any more with the rule changes is his ability to handle the puck, he was highly effective in getting to dump ins and either laying a nice set for the Dman or firing the puck right back out.

It cannot go unmentioned that he is extremely mentally strong, there is no doubt in my mind he will move on to play in the NHL after getting 2 years of tutelage in the A.

He took this years poorly coached Hitmen team, put them on his back and came a hairs width from outduelling Cam Ward in round 1. He earned 2 of his 3 victories via shutout while allowing only 1 goal in the other. In the 4 losses he was tagged with the Hitmen only scored a total of 6 goals.

I think the Kings have made a solid move here.
