the big issue here is that in hindsight, expansion to certain cities doesn't look all that wise. but its just that - hindsght. i've heard people out there that want 20, 24, 26 teams - whatever - but the bottom line is that once you expand, you're not going to contract unless there's a major economic catastrophe in the league.

and someone made a good point in the page before this - that draft classes are getting stronger, and that as players continue to develop their skills with new training methods and stiffer competition, the player pool is onnly going to grow in skill level. i don't think we're anywhere near a point where things are getting diluted.
