Having seen a lot of him in Hamilton and a little of him in Montreal, I'd say he has:
- average speed
- below average acceleration
- ordinary shots until at the hash marks or lower where he has quite a good wrister
- isn't physically aggressive, but will use physical play off the puck when needed and will use his physical strength game in / game out when on the puck
- below average face-offs

He has decent vision offensively. He has the strength/puck control the get off the boards with the puck or take it through close traffic and give himself time to look up and see what play is on. Defensively, his vision is better, he can read a situation well and react accordingly. He will occasionally make big hits, but is better at playing positionally and angling people off/rubbing them into the boards where he uses his strength to battle for the puck.
