Anyone noticed that the salaries, for the first time ever in the NHL, have gone down as of the UFAs? Moreover, elite players making a lot of money have been traded for peanuts. That shows, I think, that the league has arrived to a point where it stablizes itself. For the next couple of years, salaries won't go up, and will probably go down, because of that. Then, why do we need a salary cap, if the league finally has found a sort of balance? And, I agree with the NHLPA, it's the owners who decide to give humonguous sums of money to the players. No one forces them to do so.
