2004 Entry Draft + '94 tape

I was able to catch the final 5 minutes or so of the 3rd period on the MSG tape.
I must admit, I did not remember seeing the Gelinas shot that hit the outside of the post OR the incredible VINTAGE "Save by Richter" where he made a remarkable glove stop as the puck hit off the crossbar.

Yes, the goosebumps were there.

And if any of you are like me - it made you even more excited for the Draft.
We've waited...since New Years really...counting our draft picks...checking them twice.

1994 Rangers Team
G Richter, 1985 D.2
D Leetch, 1986 D.1
D Zubov, 1990 D.5
C Nemchinov, 1990 D.12
F Kovalev, 1991 D.1
D Norstrom, 1992 D.2

You take a look at these SIX NYR Draft Picks - we have a chance to do something very special because come June 27th (post-draft), our organizational depth will be Grade A. I don't care if Hockeys Future places us 15th or 10th or 26th or 2nd-
We have depth that very VERY few organizations can compare to.

This draft is the defining moment of "what is to come." We'll look back on it and say, "Wow. We had a strong system with Tyutin...Balej...Blackburn/Lundqvist...Kondratiev/Baranka, etc...but we really pushed ourselves over the top when we drafted Star A 6th overall, Player X in Round 2 and stole Player R in Round 5. What would we have done without them?"

It's 10 days and counting until the big day.
My final wish list:

A: Barker/Tukonen
B: Olesz/Thelen/Ladd
C: Schremp/Radulov

At #24 (or higher/move up)
A: Wolski/Chipchura/Valabik/Korpikoski
B: Bolland/Nokkelainen/Sindel
