The best skaters are Gomez and Zherdev.

But when it comes to all-star like sprints things aren't as "predictable". Like when it comes to gooing around the rink -- lighter guys who can turn around the net at full speed without almost breaking often are the fastest. When it comes to "maximum speed" its often the guys who are a bit taller who wins. You know a kid like Marc Staal could suprise people in that aspect. Like he would rank allot better in a sprint the length of the ice then he would in a race around the ice.

A player like Gomez also skates extremely well with the puck -- basically as good as anyone in the league. But that doesn't mean that he skates as well compared to others without the puck. Like many players comes allot slower with the puck.

I would bet Sjöström in straight sprints and then Zherdev in a lap around the rink. Prucha could be a outsider. He would gain allot gooing behind the net. If its done in camp Pöck could suprise some people.
