if the NMC/NTC is not yet active (as in the case of L. Vishnovsky), the new team does not have to honor the clause.
In McCabe's case, the clause is active, and even if he waives it to allow the trade, it remains a feature of his contract.
Hm, I was under that impression, too. I thought the NMC would be void the rest of the way. Then damn, his value is alot less because of JFJ (the NMC) and Fletch (for publicly saying he doesn't want him on the team).
He isn't bad to take, though. His offensive skills are pretty good, his defensive skills improved alot after his injury last year and he can be physical. I don't know why you would want to trade him, unless you can get a return.
