The Caps met Huet's demands, and he backed out. Theo wanted to come here, and his deal actually makes sense for the team. It was a no-brainer once Huet got Chicago involved.
I don't know whether it is true or not but i heard Huet backed out because Washington refused to give him a 4th year.
