I think he is being given a serious shot, but would have done himself a favour by being around management all summer like Zubov.
Zubov is younger and presumably less mature, but he seems to get the rules of the game a lot more then Nikulin. Zubov accepted rookie camp and looked it as a challenge. Why is that? What is the difference between the two?
