I don't understand why you don't place Rivet and Brisebois in the same situation.

Both are having huge contract (and in fact, Rivet as a contract for the next three seasons... so there is no rush for him to play well). The only exception is that while there is no right-handed d-man able to run a powerplay except Brisebois, Rivet's place could rapidly be taken by Komisarek that play's the same style of game except Komisarek won't be shy to hit a guy in front of the net or will accept a hit on the board. For that purpose, trading Rivet (who seems to have some value around the league), wouldn't be that bad for the Habs. I know Komisarek is young and can make errors... but man, this is the only way to learn the game. Rivet didn't got the chance to play when he was young (was always injuried)... let's not repet this error by not letting young Komisarek take is place.

You have to trade when value is overestimated and get talents whos value is underestimated........ IMO!
