Well... it's not like Picard was head and shoulders ahead of the 2nd scorer on Lewiston (1.16 ppg vs. 1.09 ppg). Meanwhile, in Ward's draft year, Ward would actually have led the Otters in scoring, except he missed 8 games with injury (he had 1.10 ppg vs 1.09 for Pepperall). Only using their draft years there. (Ward would have piled up tons more points in later years too, but again, he was always missing lots of time with injuries).

Just making a tiny nitpick there. I like Picard well enough. As long as we're not picking him ahead of Chipchura, I'd be more than happy to see him taken. But there are a solid half-dozen guys I could say that about, so I guess it's all wait-and-see... only about 28 hours more...
