Not really his job to outplay any of the wingers out there. Then, not his job to outplay Pleks, Koivu and Lang. But it's his job to secure the 4th line centerman spot duty and as far as outplaying somebody, just in 1 game he did more than "I would love to play centerman but I don't know how" Lapierre did since the start of the preseason.

Problem with Chipchura is more about the salary cap and the one-way salaries in front of him than his play on the ice, even though he looked lost during the preseason in Pierrefonds and relatively average during other NHL teams. But yesterday? Not only he was by far the best Habs (some people might say it wasn't hard 'cause of the lineup) but that's exactly it. Due to shortage of talent, he took charge of that team yesterday and minus the end of the 2nd period, we were right up there with almost a full Sens lineup. Please be sure to make me notice such effort when Maxim is on the ice. Lapierre might win a run and chase game, but a hockey game, he doesn't have the smarts to do ESPEICALLY at the center position. Strangely, the Habs noticed that when they were suppose to send him down to let him play the wings but eventually didn't for some reasons....

Unless we find a team for Dandenault, Kostopoulos and maybe even Bégin, Chip is going down but not for his play.....We did see that before right? A guy send down 'cause of technical issues???
