I think it depends on what the Panthers organization thinks their chances of re-signing J-Bo next year are. I have serious doubts that he'll want to re-sign with them, so I'm thinking they'll have to trade him if they don't want to lose him for nothing.

They are also pretty loaded at D, and although J-Bo is a top notch player, they need offence and Marc Savard would provide that.

My question would then be, "Would Martin be able to get more than Savard in return for a UFA-bound J-Bo?" I'm not so sure.
