I spoke to his agent 10 days ago and he assured me there were no talks between the Habs and Komi. Maybe it has changed since then... Anyway I believe a deal will get done at some point.

But for those who are throwing numbers around, remember that NY teams will pay top price for Komisarek when (if) he becomes UFA. So stop talking about 4 or 4,5 'cause on the market, he'll get much more than that. At this point, getting him at 5,5 M will be a hometown discount.

Heck, Hamrlik is paid 5,5 M. If you lock Komisarek long term, it can't be for less than that.

It's not just about what the guy is worth, it's about what he can get on the market.
