Except for very rare circumstances, Rypien will never be expected to fight the other team's tough guy. Rypien will never tangle with the Boogards, Shelleys, Vandermeers, and I'm not sure how Boogard qualifies as the only heavyweight from Cowan's fight card last year.

My whole point is that if Cowan was a complementary tough guy and had the luxury of fighting guys his own skill and size, he'd win a lot more fights. Just like Rypien will win a lot of fights.
