I don't know how much of an asset Simek is at this point, he looks like the typical flashy guy who hasn't come close to putting it together at the NHL level yet. I view it basically as a Krajicek-O'Brien swap... Simek and Ouellet are pretty negligible.

Tampa thought enough of him at one point to deal a first-rounder for him... I wonder if his play declined, whether it's as a result of the new ownership or whether they just felt they needed a bit more experience on their very young backend.
