Keep in mind that Holmgren apparently said a few days ago that Sbisa was going to be on the team opening night, regardless of what happened with Parent (before it was known he was going to need surgery). Let's not forget that with the injuries to Parent and Jones, that only leaves six bodies on the bench for the D. That'd probably be the reason why Holmgren's looking for a defender. And to be perfectly honest, what kind of defender is Holmgren going to find? We're not going to find a top flight defender and that we're probably looking at someone on some other team's scrap heap. So yeah, Sbisa is going to be playing a lot of hockey early on.
