i would suggest that the islanders didn't do there homework with brett lindros. The Rangers did theres. Lets not forget lindros will be playing hockey three years after the trade. Sather didn't give up any future stars when he made the trade. It was worth the risk. Lindros made a first line player out of mike york.
You can keep saying that, but Sather did give up the "best" player in the trade. Kim Johnsson plays 20-25 minutes a night (and plays hurt), is on the ice in every situation and picks up a decent amount of points. He's done nothing but help Philly since he's been there. Lindros did none of the things that Sather traded him to do. Sounds to me like Philly won, hands down. And we gave up 4 bodies to do it. Bet ya that Sather never turned in his homework on time.
