-Rolston is younger, bigger, faster and has success in the East
-Rolston has a big shot and he shoots more

So I would take Rolston
I'd take Conroy because:

- Conroy is more reliable offensively. He may have only had 8 goals, but he's always been more of a playmaker than a goalscorer. Conroy can create his own chances. Rolston's only weapon is his big shot, and he tends to run hot and cold.
- Conroy is a better playmaker. We haven't had a playmaking center since the days of Gretzky and Savard. He may not mesh as well with Jagr as Rolston would, but Conroy would do wonders for the development of our young wingers. Someone like Balej wouldn't have to create all of his chances entirely on his own.
- Defensively, it's a wash. Either would greatly help our PK.
- Most importantly, Conroy is a better leader. He had been captain of the Flames until he decided that Iginla had grown enough to take the role. If he signed here, he'd be the top choice for captain (certainly better than Holik or Jagr, not that that's saying much).
