Haha.. . Not the reason, but if you want a Brisebois grade, fine.

He's a risky player who, with age, has lost a lot of his ability to be able to recover from his mistakes. He also seems a lot weaker then he used to be. I think his outlet pass it still a huge bonus as well as his the leadership he brings in the room. He'll help the young Quebecers (Lapierre, Latendresse, etc) dealing with the french media.

A lot of people here don't like Brisebois, but he does bring positives. He'll likely add another ceremony to a huge season (1,000 games).. he's a lifelong Hab, he still posses a great pass when it connects, and when his shot hits the net, it's usually good.

For a #7 defenseman, you can't really ask for much more. He is NOT a Top-5 defenseman anymore.. and he's really not a top-6 on a winning club. But right now, unfortunately for us, he's the best option we have for the #6 because O'Byrne is not proving anything.
