I'm not going to lie, the argument in the article brought a smile to my face.

It's like he completely ignored rational arguments that can be made against the team in favour of what amounts to "Hurrr, dey's not gonna keep scorin' or defendin' or savin' good."

He's basically saying that there's no chance the players will be able to keep up their pace (unless it's a bad one, of course, in which case there's no possible way for them to improve).
