I knew something like this was going to be said. While you are correct that there are arguably better choices, I do not believe there are many goalies remaining that are more talented than Luongo.
I compared his career numbers to some other candidates I had and felt he was as good as choice as any. Was it a bit of homer pick? Probably. Is it a far off the board choice for backup? Not really
