So we drafted this guy almost a decade ago, and in those 10 years it doesn't appear to have occured to anyone that there might be some benefit behind teaching a 6'4 240 pound physical defensemen how to fight.

What was getting into a punch-in-the-face contest at center ice with Lucic going to prove in a 5-1 game? After Kovalev got dumped, he should of handled it like he handled Brashear a couple of years back... keep it close to the boards, get a good grip, take your shot if the opening's there, and go for the takedown. If he had done that, it would of killed the B's momentum, gotten Lucic upset for not being able to get a clear decision or even a clean shot in, and given Laraque free reign to take matters into his own hands if Lucic hadn't piped down.
