It's hard for me to believe Chicago has been engaged in active trade talks with us when there appears to be no movement on the Bulin front. I have to imagine these were all conditional talks -- trying to iron out a deal before we jointly go looking for a 3rd team to work into the deal. And it's not like unloading over $5m in salary is going to be an easy thing to do. The Devils might be interested with Marty out for so much time. But Lou doesn't tend to be the type to make rash personnel moves (rash coaching moves is another story). If not Jersey, then I can't see who. The teams allowing the most goals all seem to have established goaltenders (Islanders, Flames, Leafs, Stars, etc), plus, most of them are big salary teams.
